Slick’s Flicks Review

Our mission statement is simple; We sit through bad movies so you don’t have to. The good, the bad and the 100% rotten tomatoes rated movie that you fell asleep to. Checking a movie’s rating before watching it is as fundamental as buying popcorn nowadays. I understand the vast intricacies involved with motion picture, I like to think I’m pretty culturally bound. Unfortunately, I didn’t understand it when Rotten Tomatoes gave The Lighthouse (Robert Pattinson/William Defoe) a 90% while The Joker (Joaquin Phoenix) receives a 68%? I’m not sure what I missed while watching The Lighthouse that gave it two rotten thumbs up. I am certain of one thing, both movies were in theaters at the same time a couple months back. My friend and I were pretty content with watching Joker until rotten tomatoes talked me into a 90%, 2 hour and 20 dollar mistake. As I ramble, the point reveals itself; movie reviewers dictate the final decision. Why not put that kind of power into competent hands? Slick’s Flicks Reviews.
